The Rolex Daytona 116500LN with a white dial and black counters is widely known as the Panda Daytona. The high-contrast layout makes the chronograph easy to read, while the black ceramic-style bezel and steel Oyster-style bracelet keep the watch sporty and purposeful. It is one of the most direct expressions of the modern Daytona design.
Why the Panda dial works
White and black are used for function rather than decoration. The subdials stand apart from the main dial, the tachymeter scale is easy to scan, and the polished hands remain visible against the light background. The monochrome palette also makes this version easy to wear with steel jewellery and almost any clothing colour.

How to wear a Daytona
The 40 mm case is balanced and comfortable for most wrists, and the Oyster-style bracelet gives the watch a slightly more casual feel than a leather-strap chronograph. It works well with casual tailoring or sportswear, but it is also restrained enough for daily office wear. The Panda dial is the more visible of the two steel 116500LN variants, while the all-black model is the quieter option.
The chronograph pushers should feel controlled rather than loose, and the centre seconds hand should return cleanly to zero. Check those functions when the QC media arrives.
